Questions
Are kids or partners invited?
The Bell is a wonderful but small venue, so we have only been able to invite children of very close family. In the case of both children and partners, all invited guests will be named on your invitation.
How about dogs?
We both love dogs but need a certain level of predictability on our wedding day, so we are only having human guests!
What's the dress code?
We're going for lounge suits (look it up - we had to!) and equivalent for ladies, to give everyone an opportunity to get their fancy clothes out! We can't tell you what weather to prepare for, but we can say that the ceremony will be inside, but if the weather's good the drinks reception will be outside in the beautiful garden.
Can I take photos?
We will have a photographer getting pictures of the event all day, and that means we would greatly appreciate it if you don't take photos during the ceremony itself, and just enjoy the moment! However, feel free to take as many photos as you like over the rest of the day, and we will add an upload page to this website in due course so you can share them with us!
What about gifts?
In a clichéd line that is no less true for being so, the best gift you can give us is your presence on this day, and your good wishes for our future together. However, if you really want to give a gift, then there are a couple of things you can do. Having lived together as long as we have, we're very well set up with household goods, but since we've just recently acquired our own house and garden for the first time, any monetary contributions to help us to get settled in and start making the place our own would be very gratefully received. Or, if you are dead set on doing some creative gift-giving instead, then do feel free to do that!
